Almaden Speaker

Almaden Elementary School was honored by a visit from Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the United Farm Workers, president of the Dolores Huerta Foundation, and recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

SJUSD Retiree
Jan Hamilton, Ellen Sykes, Lynn Stacey, and Patsy Storie attend the district’s retirement reception. 26 district staff members, including Lynn Stacey,  are retiring this year.

Los Alamitos

Fifth-graders in Tracey Ananmalay’s class at Los Alamitos Elementary participate in a video conference with Alan Alda, moderator of the 2013 Flame Challenge, a contest in which scientists try to explain complex concepts in ways an 11-year old can understand.
