We welcome volunteers who help our teachers and staff elevate opportunities for students. Please review the following processes.


Parent Opportunities & Contacts

Parent volunteerism is highly encouraged and respected at Almaden School. Parents can volunteer in many areas of our community life, including in the classroom, in the Media Center, for special events, as chaperones on field trips, in the main office, as room parents, and more. One excellent way of being involved in our community is to serve on a school committee. These include School Site Council, PTA, or SELAC. Team

School Site Council meets monthly to contribute support and recommendations on school budgetary decisions.

PTA (Parent-Teachers Association) organizes many exciting fund-raising efforts for the school. PTA has been instrumental in their support for many different school initiatives.

SELAC (School English Language Advisory Committee) comprises parents of English learners who meet monthly with DELAC (the district committee) and reports back to the school with news and other information.
