The administrative staff of Empire Gardens Elementary School upholds a policy of inclusion.  New families are welcomed by the Principal, Carlos Acosta, and invited to attend the Tuesday morning coffees.  The staff recognizes that a critical part of effective schooling is parent education and parent involvement.  The school and the home cannot be looked at in isolation from one another; families and schools need to collaborate to help children adjust to the responsibilities of being successful students.
