Purple Take Home Folders
Please have your child bring this to school DAILY. There are times when notices need to go home throughout the week, so it’s important that folders are at school. Homework will be sent home on Mondays and need to be returned in your child’s purple folder on Fridays.
I am very happy to be a teacher at Graystone Elementary. I was lucky enough to experience this wonderful community as a parent for over 9 years before I became a teacher here. In addition to being an active parent volunteer in the classrooms, I spent many years substituting primarily in the primary grades. This year I’m excited to be a part of the 3rd Grade Team.
I graduated from San Jose State University in 1988, receiving a degree in Liberal Arts. After completion of the student teacher program, I received my Professional Clear Credential, with an emphasis in the area of Mathematics. When I began teaching over 25 years ago in Milpitas Unified School District, I was a 4th and 5th grade teacher. My focus there was working on programs that promoted Self-Esteem in children.
I know we’ll have a successful year!! My goal is for every child to excel in class. I’m looking forward to meeting all of you.
