B-6 Parents and Students:
Be sure to look through your student’s white envelope! Inside you will find student work samples and several informational flyers. Graded items include: the rubric for your student’s Heritage/Holiday Presentation and the Mission Research project.
Also, please look for the permission slip for our Sacramento field trip - sign and return by Tuesday, 1/16!! If you would like to chaperone, be sure to include a check for $100 made out to Graystone Elementary. No student fees are due, as donations have already covered all students. The trip is Wednesday, January 30; we will depart bright and early at 7:00am and return to school at approximately 6:00pm. While in Sacramento, we visit key sites related to California studies: the State Capitol Building, the Wells Fargo Museum, the RailRoad Museum, and Sutter’s Fort.

Students began Module 7, this module includes division strategies, and adding fractions & mixed numbers.Literature
Students began “Rules”, emphasis is identifying perspective and understanding point of view.Writing
Students wrote short informational essays, and took the district informational writing assessment.Social Studies
Students began Chapter 4, The Golden State.
