Welcome to E-22!
I would like to introduce myself and give you a little more information about my background. I received my bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a specialization in Social Sciences from San Diego State University. Two student teaching experiences were completed through San Diego State University in the La Mesa/Spring Valley School District in Kindergarten and a 4/5 combo. My Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with a Cross-cultural Language and Academic Development emphasis was earned from San Diego State University, along with Supplementary Authorizations in English and Social Science.
I have taught first grade at Graystone Elementary for eleven years. Of those eleven years I have taught a first and second grade combo twice. This year will be my twelfth year teaching and am working together with Lori Jeong as part of the first grade team. Teaching is not only my profession, it’s my passion. Once you see me “in action,” you will see how serious I am about what I do and how much I care about my students and their development. I hold my students to high standards of discipline, education, and social development however I believe the standard is never set beyond their potential.
My goal is to foster independent, life-long learners. I expect each child to come to school everyday prepared to learn and to do his/her personal best. I believe that if you and I work together as a team, we will facilitate your child’s success in school. I plan to put 110% into making this happen and I trust you will as well.
Please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime if you ever have questions, comments or concerns. I am available for conferencing throughout the year by appointment before or after school on Wednesdays. I want to work closely with you to make this year an excellent one for your child.
