Each school in San José Unified annually develops a Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). This plan includes the academic goals the school will be working on during the year and shows how the school will be using the funds allocated to the site.
The SPSA is written with the help of the School Site Council, which then approves the final document and forwards it to the Board of Education for their approval.
We welcome volunteers who help our teachers and staff elevate opportunities for students. Please review the following processes.

Be sure to look through your student’s white envelope! This week there are several flyers and student work samples. Graded items include the the math module 9 test. **Also, please find and envelope addressed “To the Parents of ...”; inside is your student’s spring report card and an Achieve report detailing their current reading level.**

Students completed an in-class research project on the Gold Rush, which included making a brochure and slide presentation.Literature
Students completed “By the Great Horn Spoon!”; focus is understanding perspective and analyzing character’s changing over time.Science
Students analyzed Owl Pellets and created displays to reveal what their owl ate.
