C11 Super Citizen Schedule for 2012-2013
We welcome volunteers who help our teachers and staff elevate opportunities for students. Please review the following processes.
Monday, October 9 - Friday, October 13, 2017
B-6 Parents and Students:
Be sure to look through your student’s white envelope! This week there are several flyers and student work samples.
Conferences are just around the corner! In your envelope is a conference sign-up sheet (I will email a soft copy as well). Please return with your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices. I will confirm your time slot within a day or two of receiving your request. During conferences, I will review your student’s overall progress and behavior in the classroom; if you have specific questions that you would like me to address, please make a note!
This week’s agenda included:Math
Students continued Origo Module 3.Writing
Students will continued a unit on writing a realistic fictional narrative, and took the district WPA assessment.Social Studies
Students completed Chapter 3, The First People of CaliforniaLiterature
The students began “The Cricket in Times Square”. Focus is key idea & details: understand and explain theme, characters, and setting.
Agenda for October 15 - October 20:Math

Chapter 3 test is Monday, October 16. Students will begin Chapter 4, Exploring California (this is a very brief chapter, so the test will be Wednesday October 25).Science

Graystone’s Santa Clara County Science Olympiad Team
Ethan C 5th grade & Abhay D 4th grade won the 4th place for school team at the “41st Annual CalChess Scholastic State Championship” at Santa Clara convention center.
