Each school in San José Unified annually develops a Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). This plan includes the academic goals the school will be working on during the year and shows how the school will be using the funds allocated to the site.
The SPSA is written with the help of the School Site Council, which then approves the final document and forwards it to the Board of Education for their approval.
We welcome volunteers who help our teachers and staff elevate opportunities for students. Please review the following processes.
Monday, September 10, 2018 - Friday, September 14, 2018
B-6 Parents and Students:
Be sure to look through your student’s white envelope! Inside you will find several flyers and student work samples. Also included is a note and video & photography release form from our student teacher, Mr. Solorio. Please fill out and return as soon as possible.
Thank you to those who have already joined Home & School Club ... they are a vital organization for our school. Even a small donation makes a difference, and helps HSC continue funding the many programs at our school that make Graystone great! Please consider joining to help our class earn a Rockin’ Recess!
Field Trip Updates: The response from 4th grade families among all classes was overwhelmingly in favor of going forward with all field trips, and increasing the donation per student needed to $200. I will send an attachment with this newsletter with details!
Reminders for Student Pick Up & Drop Off:
It is a school policy, that when students are dropped off at school they should go to their lines immediately. There should be no students playing on the playground before school, even with parent supervision. If you would like to play with your child before school, please use Carrabelle Park. Also during pick up, please remind your students that if you are not here for some reason as you are running late, the students should report to the office to call home.
