Hoover Math Pages

Hoover’s mathematics curriculum is designed to ensure that every member of our diverse student population has the opportunity to succeed. The standard sequence of courses has students taking Math 6 in sixth grade, Pre-Algebra in seventh grade, and Algebra HE in eighth grade. For students who demonstrate an ability to succeed in advanced mathematics courses, we offer the opportunity to be advanced to a higher mathematics course. We also offer intervention courses for students who require additional assistance to reach their full mathematical potential. Each of the mathematics teachers at Hoover is dedicated to working with students to help them be as successful as possible.
