Math grade checks
Your student will be receiving a computerized print-out of his/her math progress grade every 3 weeks.  Please take the time to review and discuss this grade (excellent or need improvement) with your student.  This grade check is required to be signed by you, the parent/guardian, and returned to me within 3 days to earn points.

Weekly Calendar
Your student receives a math calendar every week.
Your student will also be required to write down all assignments in their Hoover binder reminder.

Math Homework Help
Math homework help is available in the Hoover Media Center on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays form 3:06 to 4:00 pm.
Help is also available in the mornings 7:45-8:15 am in room 119.
If your student has a D or F, they are required to attend homework help either in the morning or the afternoon sessions.

MATH INTERVENTION (math lab)

This program is designed specifically for students in grade 6 who have scores of Below Basic or Far Below Basic on the Math California State Test for 2 years in a row.
The goal of this class is to raise a student’s level of math proficiency in conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem solving.
This is a pass/fail class. There is little to no homework in the math lab class.
