  1. School Assignments (see attached)
    1. School Assignments made to increase linkage between individual committee members and each site (see attached)
    2. Members have been asked to contact the principals at each site to ensure good understanding of upcoming Measure F Community Meetings

                                                     i.     Chuck Corr offered to contact principals with ‘letter of introduction’

  1. Community Meetings
    1. Many principals have expressed concern regarding the timing of community meetings
    2. Trustee Area 2 meeting was very poorly attended
    3. Little visibility in the press
    4. Chair contacted Mercury News Education editor
    5. Chair contacted San Jose Civic Center TV
  2. Technology Meeting
    1. Meeting with Paul Rische (Director of  Technology) and Jerry Matranga (see attached)
    2. District plans to spend between $20 and $30 million of Measure F funds on  Technology.
    3. School sites must ‘apply’ for technology funding
    4. Several questions raised, including:

                                                     i.     Where is the money ‘carried’ on the Implementation Plan? (Jerry indicated at the District level)

                                                      ii.     Has the Technology Plan, as presented, been approved by the Board?

                                                        iii.     Does the Technology Plan, or the Measure F portion of it, ensure equity between sites?

  1. Bid Process Review Sub-committee
    1. Commitments to Sub-committee still not met
    2. Commitment renewed last CBOC meeting unfilled
  2. Provided Cost Reductions Guidelines and Auditing Standards documents to Joe Aversano
    1. Expected call from Curtis Mathews to discuss documents did not occur
