SUBJECT: Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee legal services.(ACTION)

REQUESTED ACTION: That the Board of Education authorize the Associate Superintendent to contract for up to 40 hours of independent legal services as requested by the Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (Committee) for the 2002-03 fiscal year.

BACKGROUND: The Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee is requesting access to independent legal council. This request is based upon the desire of the Committee to assure the independence of its oversight function.
