Project Labor Agreement (PLA)

The major item we are bringing to the CBOC meeting on November 10, 2003 is the Project Labor Agreement (PLA). We are sending you the Staff Analysis of the PLA early to provide you ample opportunity to review it prior to next week’s meeting.

Although we will not be asking the CBOC to make a recommendation, your questions and observations are a key component of our research. If the CBOC decides to make a recommendation, we will share it with the Board of Education on December 9, 2003.

Neil Struthers, CEO, Santa Clara and San Benito Counties Building and Construction Trades Council, will present the proposed PLA to the CBOC at your meeting on November 10, 2003. The information being provided to you this week is being provided to the Board of Education, the Trades Council, ABC and AGC.
