• A meeting was
held to discuss the selection process of an auditor for Measure F 2002
Bond Funds.

• Joe Aversano presented the revised version of the RFP (Request
for Proposal).
It was discussed and edited by the group as a final document.
• Joe Aversano will prepare a summary of each proposal to expedite
the discussion and selection process.
• The committee discussed the advertisement and notification of the
RFP. The list was expanded to include; Santa Clara County Office of Education
list of preferred auditors, invitation of known CPA’s, Business Journal,
and BIZ Inc.
• Criteria for rating proposals was discussed to include: 1) Technical
2) References
3) Price 4) Relevant Experience. Firms will be asked to provide separate
proposals for the annual financial and performance audits. A firm may
choose to contract for only one of the audits.
• A timeline for auditor selection was established:
1. Advertise December (before holiday break)
2. Issue RFP January 6
3. Pre-proposal conference January 14
4. Receive proposal February 14
5. Complete evaluation March 7
6. Oral interviews March 14
7. Recommendation to Board March 31
8. Board award of contract April 17
