Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee

 

« Code of Conduct «

 

 

 

1.    Regularly attend all Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) and subcommittee meetings. Call in advance (or resign) if you cannot attend.

 

2.    Be prepared. Always read your meeting packets in advance of meetings.

 

3.    Stay focused on the statutory purposes of the CBOC.

 

4.    Be courteous and respectful during all CBOC meetings.

 

5.    Faithfully observe the Brown Act, the CBOC Bylaws, and this Code of Conduct.

 

6.    Always direct questions of SJUSD staff through the CBOC Chair, your subcommittee chair, or their designees.

 

7.    Carefully avoid any personal or financial conflicts of interest.

 

8.    Do not speak for the CBOC unless specifically assigned to do so.

 

*9.   When invited to speak to the public about CBOC activities, members shall notify the Committee, through the Chair. The CBOC member shall make explicit that they do not represent the CBOC. The CBOC member shall provide information about CBOC’s Purpose and Duties, and explain that CBOC is limited to oversight of expenditures and will not act on recommendations for the spending of any bond money. A report of the substance of any such meeting must be provided to the CBOC at its next meeting.

 

10.  Observe all SJUSD rules relating to safety and site access.
