Science

Booksin’s standards-based science program promotes student understanding and application of concepts relating to physical, life, and earth science. The school has a fully-equipped science lab.  A parent-funded science consultant works directly with 4th and 5th grade students and coordinates lessons with K-3 teachers. Fifth graders attend Science Camp at Camp Campbell and participate in Family Life education.  Fourth and Fifth grade students participate in Booksin’s Science Fair each spring.  A community-built outdoor garden Life Lab based on the Growing Classroom curriculum enhances the science program.
