Booksin Elementary

The Accelerated Reader program is a computerized management system that allows students to test their comprehension of books they have read. Booksin School has unlimited access to all Accelerated Reader Quizzes on our networked server which students can access from computers in the Computer Lab, Library, and Classroom.

The Accelerated Reader program is based on research which shows that the more students practice reading with comprehension, the better readers they will become. Most teachers at Booksin School are using the Accelerated Reading program to motivate students to continually read more books at their appropriate reading level.

Many of these books can also be found at public libraries. The reading levels listed use a new readability formula which takes several factors into account: book length, the greater difficulty of non-fiction, words per sentence, characters per word and the average grade level of words.
