Fourth Grade Teacher

I was born and raised in San Francisco and received my B. A. and teaching credential from San Francisco State College.  I have three great children, two sons and a daughter, all of which attended schools in San Jose Unified School District.  In my free time I enjoy reading, skiing, lazy days at the beach, and most importantly spending time with my children, relatives, and friends.

Teaching was always my goal and I have never regretted it.  Before coming to Canoas, with Ms. Garcia, I taught second and third grades at Schallenberger Elementary School.  Watching students achieve their goals is so gratifying!  Their successes make my day.  Some students make leaps and bounds in their learning, while others take baby steps.  Either way their successes build self esteem that keeps them working to reach their goals.
