Canoas Parent Handbook covers policies and procedures for the school. 

Canoas Uniform Policy All students are required to wear the basic uniform, which includes any of the
following:
• Navy blue pants, shorts, jumpers or skirts
• White, navy, hunter green or burgundy collared shirts, polo shirts or blouses

Canoas Student Behavior Policy There is zero tolerance for bullying, fighting, drugs, weapons, and sexual harassment.

Beginning-of-Year Student Forms Students are required to have these forms filled out and submitted after the first week of school.

School Accountability Report Card (SARC)

Public schools throughout California are required to provide information to the community in the form of an annual School Accountability Report Card (SARC). These report cards provide a variety of data about a school’s student achievement, environment, resources, and demographics.

Updated SARC’s for the 2006-2007 school year (published in 2007-2008) are posted on the District’s website and a hard copy is available at each school site. Your principal will be able to answer any questions regarding your school’s SARC. Printed copies can be provided upon request by calling the Office of External Programs at (408) 535-6650.

School Accountability Report Cards for the 2007-2008 school year will be posted on the District’s website by February 1, 2009.

Informes Escolares de Rendición de Cuentas (SARC)

A las escuelas públicas de todo California se les requiere que proporcionen información a la comunidad por medio de un Informe Escolar de Rendición de Cuentas anual (SARC por sus siglas en inglés).  Estos informes proporcionan una variedad de datos acerca del logro estudiantil de cada escuela, su ambiente, recursos y datos demográficos.

El Informe SARC actualizado para el ciclo escolar 2006-2007 (publicado en 2007-2008) se ha dado a conocer en el sitio de Internet del Distrito y todas las escuelas tienen una copia impresa del mismo.  La directora o director de su escuela podrá contestar cualquier pregunta con respecto al Informe SARC de su escuela.  Usted puede obtener una copia impresa de este informe, solicitándola a la Oficina de Programas Externos, teléfono (408) 535-6650.

Los Informes SARC del ciclo escolar 2007-2008 se publicarán en el sitio en Internet del Distrito para el 1º de febrero de 2009.
