I began teaching in 1980 after receiving my elementary credential from UC Berkeley.  I have taught 4th, 5th and 6th grades and in the Gifted and Talented Program in the Evergreen School District.  I began working in San Jose Unified in 1997 and have spent time between Schallenberger and Canoas Elementary. I was fortunate to be part of the team that reopened Canoas in 2000.

My husband and I have raised three sons and attended many soccer, baseball and volleyball games.  Two of them are now off at college and the youngest is a high school student at Willow Glen High School.  In my spare time, I enjoy quilting, golfing and spending time with my family.
