International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program Applicant

Horace Mann School is a candidate for the International Baccalaureate Organization Primary Years Program (PYP). Our program supports the District’s K-12 IB
continuum which includes authorized IB schools for the Middle Years Program and Diploma Program. We are committed to structured inquiry as the leading vehicle for learning. Our mission is to educate and inspire a diverse student population to become life-long learners who are internationally minded. Our downtown location enables students to participate in numerous local field trips and enrichment opportunities. These enhance the PYP principal subject areas: language A and B; mathematics; social studies; science and technology; the arts; personal, social and physical education. Wireless technology is integrated throughout the school with desktop and mobile computers. We offer after-school programs for academic support and enrichment in a safe, caring environment. Our school’s learning culture is further broadened with active parent and volunteer participation.
