Hoover Middle School, an Advanced Design Technology Magnet, offers an intensive instructional program using the latest tools of technology. Awarded funding from the US Office of Education, Magnet Schools Assistance Program, Hoover’s staff has designed a new program that encourages students to achieve, using an electronic platform. All students are engaged in this rigorous and technological program.  Examples of learning will include electronic book publishing, podcasting, blogging, digital animation, documentary film making, digital music, and as always, productions from the choral, orchestral, instrumental music, theatre arts, dance, and visual arts departments. Additionally, students who have participated in Spanish immersion or bilingual programs in elementary school are offered a two-way bilingual program to become orally fluent in both Spanish and English and have the ability to read and write in both languages.  The After-School All-Stars program, clubs, intramural sports and activities round out a stellar
middle school.
