Booksin is consistently a high performing school with a commitment to excellence, continuous improvement and community involvement. Booksin teachers are dedicated to providing a challenging and balanced standards-based curriculum. Building the future’s thriving citizens is supported through character education delivered through LifeSkills, Cornerstone Projects and community service opportunities. The technology lab, Library Media Center, Lifelab garden, and arts program enrich the core curriculum. At Booksin, we believe in teaching children that they have the responsibility to actively make a difference. Parents are also actively involved in the educational process of the students by supporting the school with their time, talent, and resources. Parents volunteer their time and talent in a variety of ways. Whether they help out in the classroom, on BESCA or School Site Council, parents are welcome to volunteer to support education. This year we are pleased to announce our noon-time program, ‘The Mileage Club’. This is the newest piece of our Cornerstone program. Our Lifelab garden is in the process of being refreshed with a generous donation from the Michael Lee Environmental Foundation. This is the culmination of several years’ effort by a dedicated group of parents who are passionate about gardening and kids!

Finally, our annual Walkathon is a celebration of community talent, resources and ingenuity. The goal of Walkathon is to bring our community together to provide not only funding for essential programs, but also to build stronger community connections. The level of family involvement at Booksin is a tribute to the passion we share for community, for children and for education.
