Gunderson High School is a technological, collaborative, college-preparatory community that achieves academic excellence, celebrates individuality and respects diversity. We are in the final year of a three-year (2007-2010) competitive grant from the Magnet Schools Assistance Program of the U.S. Office of Education to develop our magnet program of Advanced Design Technology in the Arts & Sciences. We offer a challenging curriculum that is regularly evaluated to incorporate the latest technology in instruction. Gunderson’s focus is on the intellectual and problem-solving growth of each student. Through a partnership with Apple Computers, each sophomore, junior and senior student at Gunderson High School is eligible to receive an Apple MacBook laptop computer for his/her use at both home and school. Freshman have mobile computer carts available in classrooms, building essential skills to move into the 1:1 program in future years. Advanced Placement course offerings include English Literature and English Language, Spanish and French Languages, Biology, Chemistry, U.S. History, American Government, Calculus and Art.
