Gunderson Students In Computer Lab

Gunderson is a one-to-one wireless laptop learning school. Every eligible student is issued an Apple iBook laptop for use at school and home. All classes integrate technology into their curriculum. The laptops assist students with their daily school work; writing, revising and editing with a word processor, researching through the internet, creating iMovies and multimedia presentations, and more.

Gunderson offers a variety of technology courses:

Digital Photography - Students learn the basics of photography using digital cameras. Students learn work with their images using available software programs. They produce a digital photographic portfolio.

Computer Graphics – Students develop skills to produce art and illustrations using the latest graphics software.

Multimedia Production – Student use computers and other hardware and software to prepare digital media. The media types will include text, graphics, video and interactive media for distribution locally and on the Internet.

Electronic Music – Students learn practical techniques in music composition, sound design and music theory. They work in a music computer lab using a variety of software applications to compose original melodies.

Architectural Drafting – Students use auto CAD as a computer aided drafting program to help them design architectural structures.

EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology) is a student-centered, project-based, service-learning class that provides students with the most current, high-end technologies. Students gain insight into their own abilities to acquire and use information, solve problems, and gain valuable experience on their way to becoming life-long learners.

Video Production Studio - By early winter, Gunderson will unveil a state-of-the-art video production studio. The video production studio will be utilized by teachers and students to broadcast school news, classroom productions, and more throughout the entire school.
