SJHA General Information

San José High was founded in 1863 and is one of California’s oldest high schools. It is a small comprehensive high school with 1000 students, grades 9-12.
San José High offers the prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, a rigorous pre-university certification for academically talented students and the last two years of the Middle Years Program, an age appropriate curriculum that provides a framework of academic challenge, enrichment and life skills for students in grades 6-10.

The school has been successful in providing challenging academic programs to a truly diverse student population.
Technology is used extensively throughout the instructional program. There are four portable computer labs, each containing sixteen iBooks for use in individual classrooms, as well as the instructional computer labs.
San José High Academy has received local, state, and national recognition as an exemplary International Baccalaureate magnet school with many outstanding students, staff and programs.
