International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program

The Middle Years Program (IB-MYP) at Burnet Academy Middle School consists of grades 6, 7 and 8 which correspond to Years 1, 2 and 3. Years 4 and 5 are started/completed at San Jose High Academy. The MYP courses of study insist on various disciplines with a focus on interrelatedness and balanced curriculum. The faculty uses the criteria established by the prestigious International Baccalaureate Organization and the California State Standards to direct the delivery of educational opportunities found at Burnet Academy. Burnet is fully authorized and is reviewed regularly on the delivery and effectiveness of the program.
