SJUSD Gifted and Talented Program - GATE

The Gifted and Talented Education Program in the San José Unified School District is based on the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to develop his full potential. The program shall include the establishment of:

  • An environment for association with the child’s intellectual peers
  • A flexible enriched curriculum to meet individual needs
  • A program to cultivate critical thinking, self-directed learners and foster leadership skills
  • Stimulating and challenging methods of study using differentiated instruction.

    Want enrichment activities for your intellectually gifted child?
    Lyceum is a local parent-participation organization that offers seminars and social activities for intellectually gifted children.

    Come meet us at our open house on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the Saratoga Library’s community room; the address is 13650 Saratoga Ave., Saratoga, California, 95070.  Come learn about the benefits the kids and parents gain, see what the kids have done and talk with current members.
