January 26 thru February 11, 2009

Parents of current 5th and 8th grade students as well as preregistered secondary students complete and return the “Request for School Assignment Form” to the student’s school. (Parents of students not currently enrolled in a school will return the form to an Information and Enrollment Center.) No priority will be given to parents who return the form before February 11, 2009.

January 26, 2009

Preregistration begins at the Information and Enrollment Centers for 6th through 12th grade students who live in SJUSD but do not attend District schools. Students will be assigned randomly and in accordance with the Voluntary Integration Plan and Board Policy while taking into consideration the instructional capacity of the school.

March 23, thru (TBA)

Transfer Applications Grades 6-11 accepted for school year 2009-2010 at the Information and Enrollment Centers.

April 1, 2009

Kindergarten preregistration and assignment begins at the Information and Enrollment Centers. Capacity permitting, all kindergarten students are assured their attendance boundary schools.

April 1, thru May 6, 2009

Elementary Magnet School applications accepted from parents of currently enrolled K-4 SJUSD students for school year 2009-2010 at the Information and Enrollment Centers. No priority will be given to parents who return the form before May 6, 2009. Students will be assigned randomly and in accordance with the priorities of the Voluntary Integration Plan and Board Policy while taking into consideration the instructional capacity of the school.

April 1, thru May 6, 2009
