Gunderson High School is a technological, collaborative, college preparatory community that achieves academic excellence, celebrates individuality, and respects diversity. The introduction of an Integrated Technology in the Arts and Sciences magnet theme takes the use of technology as an effective educational tool to a new advanced level in engaging students as self-directed learners. Gunderson offers a challenging curriculum that is regularly evaluated to incorporate the latest technology. We provide a performance-based learning environment utilizing project-based service learning integrated with advanced technological applications in an interdisciplinary laboratory environment. Gunderson’s focus is on the intellectual and problem-solving growth of each student.

Through a partnership with Apple Computers, we offer a one-to-one wireless laptop learning environment where each student at Gunderson High School is eligible to receive an Apple iBook laptop computer for his/her use at home and school.Teachers receive training that enables them to effectively include project based, problem-solving, student driven learning experiences using technological applications in real life situations as a major mode of inquiry in their various disciplines.
