7th grade Social Studies

This is my fourth year as a teacher at John Muir Middle School.  My Language Arts class focuses on reading and writing skills, including the writing process, grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and spelling. In Social Studies we will explore world history starting with the fall of the Roman Empire to the discovery of the New World between the time periods of A.D. 200 and A.D. 1800.  The units that we will cover include: The Americas (Maya, Inca & Aztec), Africa, Islam, The Fall of Rome & Byzantium, Medieval and Renaissance Europe, China, Japan.
