8th Grade Social Science

As a ten year veteran at John Muir, I am continually amazed at the excitement I feel in teaching U.S. history to new groups of 8th grade students.  In their final year at Muir, many 8th grade students feel the need to be challenged by new knowledge and skills.  My class will encourage the development of those important critical thinking skills that they will take with them well-beyond middle school.
