John Muir Principal
Welcome to John Muir! This is my seventh year as a John Muir Falcon. Two years ago, I became the Principal after being a Vice Principal for five years...and I have enjoyed every moment of it! I believe in educating the “whole child”, therefore one of my goals is to provide students with a great middle school experience, which is fun, memorable and academically rigorous.
A little bit about me...I was born in Valparaiso, Chile and in 1987 my family moved to Toronto, Canada. I attended the University of Toronto and I received a bachelor’s degree with a Major in Biology and Spanish. After graduating, I began to travel and I fell in love with the bay area. Shortly there after, I obtained a Single Subject Science Credential from San Jose State University. In 1997, I joined SJUSD and my first teaching experience was as a Science Teacher at Herbert Hoover Middle School. Soon after, I received my credential in Educational Administration at National University.
