7th Grade Pre-Algebra

The 2008-2009 school year is my first year at John Muir Middle School and I am honored and fortunate to serve here.  After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, I worked for 3 years as an analyst for Caterpillar Inc.  I currently hold a single subject credential in mathematics and am pursuing my Master’s Degree in Education.

My goal this year is for my students to increase their math levels and be prepared for Algebra and beyond.  This will be accomplished through conceptual lessons and skill practice.  For additional assistance, students can come to the math homework center in room 802 (separate from the regular homework center in the library) from 2pm - 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.  The math homework center is staffed by the math department and you can find me there on Monday afternoons.

In my free time, I like to read, cook, eat, and solve Rubik’s cubes.
