6th Grade Social Studies

I am proud to be a part of the John Muir Staff.  This year I am excited to be teaching Advanced High Point Languge Arts for English Language Learners and 6th grade Social Studies.  This is my third year at John Muir Middle School and I love the students and staff.  I grew up in the Bay Area and attended high school in San Leandro.  From high school I went to Chico State and majored in History.  I also received a teaching credential in Social Science.  After graduating I moved to Truckee, CA and enjoyed four fun years living the mountains.  I skiied, snowboarded, wakeboarded, snow shoed, hiked and, coached softball.  While in Truckee I worked in a high school resource classroom.  I enjoy cooking, reading, and playing softball.  I am expecting my first child in November and am very excited!
