Happy Holidays to our Friends and Families from the Lincoln Music Department:
The Music Boosters have much to be thankful for:
The Pancake Breakfast, our first major fund raising event of the 20078-2008 season was a resounding success! We extend our gratitude to all of our volunteers who labored intensively before, during and after the event. Your hard work was so appreciated! Special thanks to Lincoln’s AP of Activities, Sonia Rebelo, and our committee chairs: Michelle and Ron Leedy, LaVerne Washington, Margaret Hesterberg, Linda Witkop, Gary Deeter and Steve Wincor. We salute our music faculty for their support, help and fabulous direction: Miss Katemopoulos, Mr. Palkki, Mr. McCoy and Ms. Meyer. Under their expert batons, our bands, choirs, vocal ensembles and orchestras performed beautifully in their first concert of the season to the delight of the crowd who enjoyed a delicious, freshly cooked breakfast. Special congratulations to our orchestra director, Ms. Kate Meyer, for an outstanding debut and to Mr. McCoy, who had become a new father just days before conducting! Thanks also to our principal, Ms. Jackie Zeller, our former principal, Mr. Chris Funk, and other members of the Lincoln administration, faculty and the Lincoln community who joined us, and to the PTSA for publicity- your support of the Music Department is very important to us!
