STUDENT NOTES

We are now in the second week of the Safeway eScrip campaign where Safeway donates 10% of the dollar value of your store receipts between now and Sept 26th.  Remember, the class with the most receipts wins a pizza party, so bring your receipts in today.  What could be easier?

Need community service hours?  We need students to work at home football games.  Contact Mr. Roark for details.

Did you get good grades last spring?  Then it’s time to apply to the California Scholarship Federation (CSF).  Pick up an application and get more information from Mrs. Greene in room 43.

Regarding jammed lockers, do not put back packs, skateboards, dance bags or sports bags in your locker.  Anything pressing against the door or the locking device will cause it to jam. We will only open it twice; after that, you will lose your locker privilege.

Save the planet and recycle!  What you don’t recycle is poisoning our environment… so be responsible and save our planet.

The City of San Jose has an opening for a Youth Commissioner for District 6.  The position is open to any high school student who lives in this district (our district), and will represent the district’s youth.  This is an amazing opportunity, but the deadline to apply is September 26th.  Applications can be found at http://www.sanjoseca.gov/clerk/vacancy.html or contact Mr. Roark.

The College and Career Center is fundraising, and needs your help!  Please join us at Chevy’s on Coleman Ave. on Thurs. evening, from 4-9pm.  25% of the proceeds will be donated, so don’t forget to mention LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL to your server.  Flyers are available in the Career Center.  See you there!
