Our book debt list is currently up to $12,000 and many of them are seniors. Your student is getting a notice this week if they owe money on a book or uniform. Please have your student attend to this debt as soon as possible so that they can avoid serving any Saturday school or detention.

Seniors only
As we get closer to the end of the year I wanted to just touch bases with senior parents to make certain that all parents are aware of what is on the line for seniors.
A senior will not be allowed to particiapate in Prom, lua or graduation if they have debts, unexcused absenses or unclearied tardies, any behavioral issues or unserved Saturday school or aim. 99% of the seniors will have no problem with this but a few will. Hopefully that is not your child. Please do have a conversation with your senior about the serious nature of any violations of school rules in these last 3 months.

Senior prank is a tradition at LHS but it is also done in good humor and without any damage to school property. Remind your student that the organized prank should be the only prank in which they participate.

And finally let me clear up any confusion – there is no such thing as a sanctioned senior cut day. I your student cuts in the spring then either you excuse them or they serve Saturday school for their actions.

Our kids are wonderful and I would rather not have to hold anyone out of the senior activities at the end of the year. I appreciate all your support this year and am looking forward to a positive celebration of our seniors at the end of the year.
