Bud & Ralph Ogen, LHS basketball players that both went on to star at Santa Clara University, are being inducted into the San Jose Sports Hall of Fame on November 14. Bud Ogden still holds the single-game scoring record of 55 points for the Broncos and ranks eighth on the school’s all-time scoring list. Ralph Ogden ranks 14th on the same list. They were team mates on the 1968-69 team that posted a 27-2 record, climbed to third in the national rankings and lost to eventual national Champion UCLA in the NCAA tournament. Bud went 76ers and Ralph played for the Golden State Warriors.
Courtney Bryan, Class of 2002, for making the Miami Dolphins!!! Courtney played defensive back for New Mexico State and was picked up as a free agent last weekend. He is the first professional football player from Lincoln in decades.
