STUDENT NOTES
Students who need community service hours can find a list of opportunities posted outside Mr. Roark’s office. The community service form has been changed this year and both sides must be completed properly to receive credit. Incomplete forms will be returned. You can pick up a new form in Student Services.

Student:  Just a reminder regarding your lockers!  Do not put back packs, skateboards, dance bags or sports bags in your
locker.  Anything pressing against the door or the locking device and it will not open.  We will open it for you two times,
after that you will be removed from your locker, the combination will be changed and the locker will be assigned to a
student on the waiting list.

A reminder to all students that the Hoover campus is strictly off limits to Lincoln students. Unless you are a Hoover T.A.,
if you are caught on campus you will be assigned a Saturday School. If you are meeting a younger sibling, arrange a meeting
place off campus.

Bellarmine is looking for senior girls to model in their 54th annual fashion show.  Call 279-3190 for details.

Spirit week is here; Wednesday is crazy hair day, Thursday is twin day, and Friday is blue and gold day.

Teachers and students:  This week kicks off our Safeway eScrip campaign where Safeway donates 10% of the dollar
value of your store receipts between Sept. 12th and Sept 26th.  to inspire you, we’re hosting a competition between all 2nd
period classes where you can win a pizza party if your class brings in the most receipts.  We will award three parties,
one for each week of the contest…and you can win more than once!

Students, please note: The front of the small gym is off limits during brunch and lunch.

The San Jose Holiday Parade is looking for volunteers to help with this year’s event.  If you are interested in becoming one of Santa’s volunteers you can pick up a form outside of Mr. Roark’s office.

Attention all Leadership class students: See Mr. Slayton in P110 if you need more football fliers to distribute to the houses around Lincoln.

Attention Link Crew students:  Our first Link Crew meeting is in the media Center THIS FRIDAY!!  Make sure you attend to get your community service form signed.

The make up day for school photos is this Wednesday, September 17, in the Small Gym. If you did not have your school photo taken during orientation or on the first day of school, please drop by the gym at brunch, lunch, or after school. If you want your photo to be in the yearbook, this is your last chance.

Seniors, you must have your Senior Portrait taken by this Friday if you want your picture to appear in the yearbook. No exceptions. To schedule an appointment call: 1-888-898-GRAD. The photographers will be here all week, so schedule your photo appointment today.

Interested in becoming a Fire Fighter?  San Jose Fire Department is having a Careers Information Session.  Thursday, Sept. 18th, from 6:30 to 9:00pm, at the San Jose Fire Department, BFO Campus, more info in the College & Career Center.

New York University will be hosting an information session on Tuesday, Oct. 21st. Visit the College & Career Center for more info.

Questbridges National College Match is offering a 4 year scholarship application for low income students who have a 3.0 GPA or better.  The deadline is Sept. 30, 2008. Get all the details in the College and Career Center.

ALL STUDENTS interested in the Intensive instruction Credit Recovery classes offered on Saturdays and during 7th period must turn in their paperwork to Student Services today!

PREPARE FOR THE SAT!  E-Group will be hosting an SAT Prep Course, starting this Saturday at 8 am in room P110. CLUBS:
Attention all longboarding and biking club members we will be having a meeting at lunch in Mrs. Campions room on Wednesday to discuss our trip arrangements on Friday.

There will be a Mandatory O-Ambassadors club meeting in room P102 today during lunch.  Please attend if you are a member or would like to become a member.  We are looking for people who are interested in helping the global community.

GSA is meeting in Mr. George’s room during lunch this Friday.  Come for future events!
