STUDENT NOTES

Interested in planning our school rallies? We are in need of a Freshman and a Senior to serve on the Rally Commission. Contact Mr. Roark for all the details.

Need community service hours?  If so, we need students to work at our home football games. Contact Mr. Roark if you’d interested in signing up.

Concerning the dress code, CALI and Nor Cal shirts and logos are prohibited, and brimmed hats are not allowed on campus.  Your hats will be confiscated and you will be asked to change your shirt.  check your student handbook for a complete list of rules concerning the dress code.

The Honor Roll Assembly is this Thursday Oct 2nd at 10:45 in the gym.  To see if you are on it check the window box in the Main Hall.  If you name isn’t on it and you think it should be, please contact Student Services ASAP.

CAREER CENTER

Many colleges will be hosting off campus info nights in the Bay Area during the month of October. Come to the College & Career Center for more info about UCLA, NYU, Penn, Columbia University, Mills, Lewis & Clark College, Yale, Carnegie Mellon, MIT and many more! Make your reservations today!

College visits on campus this week are Azusa, UC San Diego, and National Hispanic Univ.; sign-up in the College & Career Center.

There will be an SAT & Subject Test on November 1st, late registration is open until October 10.

Seniors, you must register for the Oct. 25 ACT test by October 3. Visit the Career Center for more info.

The Homework center is open after school Monday through Thursday. Drop by to get some help, or to get a jump on your homework before you leave for home.

Questbridges National College Match is offering a 4 year scholarship application for low income students, with a 3.0 GPA or higher.  The deadline is Sept. 30. Contact the Career Center for more info.

ATTENTION SENIORS! Senior Parent Night is tonight at 6:30 pm in the Media Center.  Please plan to attend if you are interested in learning more about the college processes during your senior year. And Juniors, the parent college info night is on Monday, October 6th, 6:30pm in the Media Center.  Please RSVP to Mrs. Bruni in the Career Center.

There will be an important meeting for anyone interested in participating in the Paris exchange Program this year, on Wednesday, October 1st at 7:00 pm in P104.  You can host a French student for 2 weeks in October and then visit them in France for 2 weeks in June. All are welcome. See Mr. Church or Ms. Roselman for all the details. Once again, the meeting is on Wednesday, October 1st at 7:00 pm in P-104.

Attention ladies and gentleman.  There will be a B.S.U. meeting today at lunch in Mr. Kappia’s class room 54.  If you are interested in being a part of Lincoln’s Black Student Union please join us today at lunch.
