Thanks to all of you who are making such an effort to get kids here early, drive safely and use the designated drop off zones along Dana which extend from Brooklyn to Hester. Keep it up. Halloween is this friday Just a reminder that no gang related attire may be worn. Girls must be fully clothed. The color dress code still applies so only one article of red and one of blue. Friday is an instructional day and as such students must adhere to the standard dress code. This Thursday, Oct 30th the LHS Foundation is hosting an open House for the new science bulding. This will be held from 4:00 pm to 5:30 and we invite all parents to attend. “By the pricking of my thumbs, Something wicked this way comes.” Tickets for Macbeth, running October 23-Nov 1, are on sale NOW during lunch. Please remind students to gat all books and belongings from their lockers before that time, Every Tuesday and Thursday during advisory and at 2:30 seniors can get one on one assistance with filling out their UC/CSU college applications in the career center. No appointment necessary. UC/CSU applications are due Nov 30th. Note that SJSU is no longer extending the deadline to March.
We are now starting second semester sign ups for the 7th period and Saturday academy credit recovery classes. We hope to offer classes in English, Algebra, PE, World History and US History and Spanish. Please have your student see their counselor to sign up if they need to make up any credit.

Saturday academy and credit recovery 7th periods wlll begin this week. If your student is behind in credits please have them sign up for the class that they need. They can sign up through the College and Career Center or through their Grade Level Advisor Roller Hockey Club. The fundraiser will take place at Baja Fresh Mexican Grill at 1976 South Bascom Ave on Wed. Sept 24 from 4-9pm. Baja Fresh will donate 15% of sales to Lincoln High school roller hockey club. I just want to take a minute to remind all parents of the Dress code. Girls may not where spaggetti straps or short shorts. Boys may not wear undershirts as a shirt and pants must fit. No student may wear more than one item of red or blue and that item may not be solid in color. Absolutely no brimmed caps. Knit hats and hoods only when the temperature is below 60 degrees. Absolutely no professional sports jerseys or shirts. Remember to sign up for Escrip this year. All information is on the Lincoln Website. Please remember to drive safely We are running a special fundraiser from Sept 13 - Oct 6 and ask that you send in the bottom portion of your Safeway receipt. We can redeem these through the Escrip program.. PIV is up and running. The new website is on our LHS website. Monday, Sept 29 is the college info night for senior parents and students. Homework center is open! This year the hours will be from 2:45 – 4:15 on Tuesday through Thursday and 1:45 – 3:30 pm on Monday. Students may drop in any time to access a quiet place to do their homework or use the computers to complete an assignment. Saturday academy and credit recovery 7th periods wlll begin next week. The first home Football game is here on Saturday Sept 20th. Please park in Dana Ave parking lot. There will be no stadium access at the Olive Gate. You must purchase tickets at the window of the black box theater. Senior portraits are being taken this week for the last time on the LHS campus. This is the last week that you can have your picture taken for the yearbook. Call 1-888-898grad to make an appointment. A Yearbook Photo make up day will be held Sept 17th. Alll grade level students who missed having their photo taken during registration should plan to have them taken during lunch.
