Parent Involvement in Education (PIE) Program

P.I.E. is a choice program at Trace.  Families entering Trace will have the opportunity to indicate their preference for a traditional program or the P.I.E. program.

WHAT THE P.I.E. PROGRAM INVOLVES:
(2008-09 school year)

Every family in the P.I.E. program will sign a contract at the beginning of the school year agreeing to volunteer at least 4 hours per month in their P.I.E. classroom and/or in Trace School.  These hours will have flexible guidelines to fit a wide range of schedules and skills. 

Parents in the P.I.E. program will also agree to participate in a special parenting class designed to prepare volunteers to motivate children to learn in a positive and effective manner.

This is a growing program at Trace.  Involved families have the unique opportunity to help develop and shape this program as well as reaching out to every classroom and child at Trace.
