Washington is a lucky school!  The member of the San Jose Rotary Club came and gave us full support for our BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT! They brought dinner for the families and even helped teachers at the learning stations! They showed their excitement and enthusiasm all the time. We are sincerely thankful for all their support and their partnership!

State Farm is Here for Washington

Thanks to State Farm’s Executive Les Hansen, Washington will be the recipient of computers to:
a. encourage students to work hard at mastering the California State Standards with a great big raffle at the end of the school year. Talk about motivation!
b. support parent involvement projects at Washington, including Madre-a-Madre volunteer events and educational opportunities.

Mr. Hansen will join us for Back-to-School this year, as he feels inspired to promote safety in our school community by donating smoke detectors (in a cool State Farm bag) for all families who attend the biggest night of the year at Washington Elemetary.

Mr. Hansen supports early academic success for elementary school students, because he is SO proud of his wife, who has taught first grade, her favorite grade, in Morgan Hill for many years.  Thank you for caring about the children of Washington.  Muchas gracias, Senor Hansen.  And to Ashley Cesar, a summer intern at State Farm, who serendipitously selected our school. Best of luck to you at Santa Clara University.
