As a teacher of Washington Elementary, I, Martha Benavides, believe that Washington School has the most capable students, the most dynamic parents, and the most outstanding principal, teachers, and staff who have the privilege to be part of this community.
I believe that every child at Washington is able to achieve all what he believes he can achieve. Success is in the students’ mind and those who picture themselves as winners are the ones who trigger the right key to reach their goals. Successful thoughts lead students’ actions to their academic, and social growth as happy individuals. All children in this school have uncountable abilities to accomplish their dreams.
I also believe that the principal, the teachers, and the staff at Washington empower the students so they develop their own potential. Different type of acknowledgement is provided to children in many ways and for different reasons to enhance all their dimensions as human beings. Recognition for participation, good manners, spelling, math, geography, science, reading, writing, homework, and many more is given in order to develop their confidence. I believe Washington’s people give their heart and hard work to ensure every child receives quality education that allows students to succeed in the future.
I believe that parents at school are dynamic and want to support their children. They trust on what we do for them. They feel that their kids are making progress and learning. They know that every morning they leave their children in a safe and caring place.
I am a truly believer that this community should be very proud of having such a great school full of people working together in collaboration for a common purpose: the holistic development of every child at Washington Elementary.
