Willow Glen Elementary offers families two outstanding educational programs to choose from: a traditional English-only instructional program or a Two-Way Spanish Bilingual Immersion Program.

Both programs offer a rigorous curriculum based on state-adopted standards in English language arts, math, science, social studies and physical education. The TWBI program offers the same standards in two languages. All students receive classes in Art, Music and Science, third through fifth graders are eligible to participate in after-school classes in Instrumental Music and Choir.

Willow Glen Elementary School sits in the center of the lovely Willow Glen township within San Jose. It is a unique and elegant location, with a beautiful new two-story, 14 classroom structure and nine refurbished classrooms, library and cafeteria. We have a highly trained staff of teachers and support personnel whose goal is to provide a challenging academic program. We work within this diverse community to develop disciplined readers, writers and mathematicians. The parent community embraces our diverse student population and helps to create a welcoming and supportive environment where each person is valued. Parent volunteers provide our students with hands-on art experiences. The PTA supports field trips, science lessons, and a large bilingual library, which further enrich the students’ understanding of their studies and connections to their community.
