TWBI Ad Hoc Committee
The TWBI Ad Hoc Committee shall study the possibility of implementing TWBI at their respective school site. This will include the following:

a. Reading research articles
b. Visiting TWBI schools
c. Inviting speakers (TWBI staff, parents, researchers, experts in the field: Lindholm-Leary, Two-Way CABE, etc.)
3.) Assess advantages and benefits of the program to the school and community.
4.) Assess challenges school may face in implementation and propose possible solutions in addressing school concerns and challenges.
5.) Report periodically to whole staff on all of the above.
6.) Make a written recommendation to the Assistant Superintendent of Instruction.
TWBI AD HOC COMMITTEE
CORE VALUES
April 7, 2008
Identifying core values to guide committee decisions: What do we need to come back to in order to keep us on track?
• We need to bring our community together (ALA families w/ SEI families).
• Decision/recommendation should be made on what is best for children (both EL and EO).
• Is it going to have a positive long term effect on both groups of children for academic success and integration?
• Is it an educational program that works for students, parents and teachers?
The responsibility of the committee is to determine if this is a beneficial program for Willow Glen Elementary students.
COMITÉ AD HOC PARA EL PROGRAMA DE INMERSIÓN BILINGÜE
VALORES ESENCIALES
