MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission for the Willow Glen Middle School Library is to provide students with:
• A library collection and resources that support their academic and recreational reading needs
• Technology that will give them access to information
• A safe place and a beautiful environment that will enhance the experience of reading

HOURS OF OPERATION
We are open Tuesday through Friday, 2-4 pm but will remain closed during lunch until further notice (3/10).

LIBRARY RESOURCES
Books
Our library has a strong fiction section, with many new titles. We also have a large non-fiction and reference section, for your research needs.
Magazines
The library subscribes to several magazines and comic books.
Computers
The library has five computers with internet access that students can use. Priority will go to the students who need to do research or take AR tests. (Unfortunately, students do not have access to their digital locker on the library computers.)
Games
The library has board games that students can play during lunch and after school.

AFTER-SCHOOL TUTORING
Math tutoring is offered to all students from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. A staff member will be in present to offer assistance.
CIRCULATION
Students may check out a maximum of 2 books at one time, which may be renewed once, unless there is a hold. Magazines are for use in the library and are not circulated. Reference materials (for example, encyclopedias) are for use in the library and may not be checked out.
FEES
Students will be billed the full cost of the book for damaged or missing books. If these fees are not paid, the students risk graduation privileges. Please return books and return them on time.
VOLUNTEERS
If you are interested in volunteering in the library, please contact Parent Library Volunteer Coordinator Jacquie Callahan at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Jacquie organizes the volunteer library schedule and keeps all volunteers informed and up-to-date.
