Cornerstone Book Club
Interested 6th and 7th graders who share the love of reading are encouraged to join the Cornerstone Book Club. Book Club is organized by parent volunteers, Katherine Doar and Jenny Verdonk. If you’re interested, sign-up for Book Club in the main office. As of December 2008, we still have a few more spots available. The books are pre-selected and available to all participating students for loan. Copies of the book may be picked up from Ms. Hyssop in the office.

WHAT IS PROJECT CORNERSTONE?The Guidance Department in San Jose Unified created the Planting Positive Seeds program in 2008/2009. One aspect of Planting Positive Seeds is support of Cornerstone Book Clubs in district middle schools. Cornerstone Book Clubs are teacher-supported and led by amazing parent volunteers.
